Moody painting of winter Pennine moorland at sunset. The reflection of the setting sun is colouring the horizon and base of the lowering clouds. A few shafts of light have broken through the clouds and illuminate fields in the distant valley. This is the other half of the brighter little painting with more sun in it, they both work either as individual paintings or a pair.
Colours are white, lilac, mauve, purple, blue and a tiny bit of tangerine.
Painted with Sennelier and Michael Harding oils on Belle Arti pre-stretched, gesso-primed canvas panel.
Can be framed but this is not essential for a stretched canvas panel.
