Dales Barn (Etching)

This is my interpretation of a quintessentially Dales view: the field barn, with a protecting shield of trees, a dry stone wall running across the foreground and faded hills in the soft light of dawn. The piece was inspired by my winter morning runs. The varied tones in the sky and land are a lesson in perspective, from that magical hour when it's not yet fully light, but every fold of the land is picked out and highlighted by the silvery touch of a winter dawn.
